Bridge House Tea Rooms Hosts Its First Car and Motorcycle Auction
In this special episode of Backseat Driver, with me, Mark Stone, I visit the ever-vibrant Bridge House Tea Rooms, a beloved motoring hotspot that’s taken on a new challenge: hosting its first-ever car and motorcycle auction. I caught up with John Wright, the man behind Bridge House’s thriving car and bike nights, to hear about how this idea came to life.
What started as attendees bringing their vehicles with “For Sale” signs has become a full-blown auction event, thanks to overwhelming interest and steady community support. Teaming up with George Lewis of Hammertimed.com, a local auctioneer more familiar with tractors than turbochargers, the duo has assembled over 50 lots, ranging from a rugged Mark II Ford Escort rally car to K20-swapped Honda Jazzes and vintage Vauxhalls.
The atmosphere during preview day was electric. Visitors walked the rows of cars, inspecting the offerings and sharing stories. I spoke with several attendees, including classic car fans, Ford collectors, and curious first-time bidders like Sarah and Steven, who were drawn in by the variety and local convenience.
Auction day brought a strong crowd of around 250 people, a great atmosphere, and solid results. While not every lot sold under the hammer, several deals were finalised afterwards, and there’s already buzz about a second auction planned for September.
In addition to the auction excitement, Bridge House Tea Rooms entertained the crowd with a revamped café menu, a lively paddock marquee, and even a barbecue. Looking ahead, events like the Carl Fogarty Superbike Team launch, bike nights, the Scarecrow Festival, and the MudSport car night will keep the calendar full.
This episode captures more than just an auction—it celebrates community, character, and the unmistakable charm of Bridge House Tea Rooms. Whether you’re in it for the cars, the camaraderie, or just a great day out, this event was one for the books—and hopefully, just the first of many.

Speaker B:Visit 116trog Trophy.com to find out more and get yourself behind the wheel.
Speaker B:From a pot of tea to TT motorbikes, from a classic English breakfast to a full serving of classic cars, Bridge House Tearooms is the northwest premier classic car meeting location for coys, bikes, tractors and owner's clubs.
Speaker B: -: Speaker A:Foreign.
Speaker A:A location that's renowned for its motoring events, Classic motorbike, supercars, competition, you name it.
Speaker A:They gather here in their hundreds, at times thousands.
Speaker A:But I'm here with John Wright who for the first time is doing something for the first time.
Speaker A:So, John, welcome back to the Backseat Driver.
Speaker A:And what are we doing for the very first time?
Speaker C:Thank you, Matt.
Speaker C:Good morning.
Speaker C:We are doing or we are hosting and organising our first classic card motorcycle auction.
Speaker A:Now, this came about by people coming to your events and putting for sale signs up, didn't it?
Speaker C:That's correct.
Speaker C:Right at the beginning we would always get one or two people bringing the cars for sale and bikes.
Speaker C:And when we finished the last September car night, we realized that there was enough cars on sale and bikes to warrant doing an auction.
Speaker A:Because you used to encourage them to make a donation for this, didn't you?
Speaker C:That's right.
Speaker C:All we asked for was a donation towards the air ambulance or the Bud bikes and the majority of people supported us really?
Speaker C:Well, there was obviously the odd one who wasn't interested in supporting it, but we felt that it was probably the right time to try an auction.
Speaker A:You brought in Hammer time.
Speaker A:How did this come about?
Speaker A:I mean, they are no more for their agricultural sales and things like that.
Speaker A:So I conclude in a roundabout way, it's a bit of a first for both of you.
Speaker C:It is indeed.
Speaker C:Well, obviously George is from the village, same as myself here in Ray.
Speaker C:We've grown up together and I think it felt, it felt right just to use a local company.
Speaker C:We know each other, we know each other works and we felt it was the best way forward, really.
Speaker B:How many?
Speaker A:Lots have we got for sale here?
Speaker A:Because there's quite a few cars because there was a minimum to make it work, wasn't there?
Speaker C:Yeah, we felt that 30 was, was, was sort of a starting point and thankfully we now have roughly about 50, 51, 52 lots.
Speaker A:Yeah, I know they're still coming in because last night, the classic coin night, the first of the.
Speaker A:The 20, 25 season, that was it.
Speaker A:When the bike, when the classic coin ended, that was it.
Speaker C:Correct.
Speaker C:And basically last night was pretty much when it ended last night and we've been up all night putting the lots together and all the paperwork.
Speaker C:Well, George has and Jenna and basically, yeah, we've got it now pretty much as we want it.
Speaker C:Just looking for a nice day for the viewing, which is obviously now and.
Speaker A:Tomorrow for the auction and modern technology besides having.
Speaker A:You can be here if you want, but you can do it all online and via video links and everything else.
Speaker C:Yes, if you go onto hammertime.com you can register for the auction or you can come and visit us at Bridgehouse Teams here in Ray and witness and experience and be part of the auction itself.
Speaker A:And you can even participate in the new menu in the cafe.
Speaker C:Absolutely.
Speaker C:The cafe will be open tomorrow.
Speaker C:The team, should I say, and also the marquee next door, the paddock marquee, which is open for the carne bike nights and the bar will be open tomorrow all day as well.
Speaker A:I think I'll just ask this, is this going to be the first of a few.
Speaker C:The idea is if it's, if tomorrow is a success, that we will do another one in September.
Speaker C:We don't want to be too greedy and the idea is if, if this is a success, then we'll do one in September towards the end of the season.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Now, I mean, not being funny, you're up against some serious competition with classic car auctions, aren't you?
Speaker A:No names name.
Speaker A:But it's, it's, shall we say, a brave undertaking to go up against some of them.
Speaker C:Yeah, I don't think we have anything to fear about.
Speaker C:We're well supported on the car and bike nights and our target audience was really all the people and the Cubs who support us and have supported us over the years.
Speaker C:And so we've got a fairly good community of car cubs bike clubs throughout the area in the northwest, to be fair.
Speaker C:And so they're really the target audience.
Speaker C:Really.
Speaker A:And besides this, I mean, what else have Fork visitors to Bridge House Tea Rooms got to look forward to?
Speaker C:Well, we've got the.
Speaker C:Apart from the Scarecrow festival coming up.
Speaker C:We've got the.
Speaker C:The next bike night.
Speaker A:I better keep moving around then.
Speaker C:Yeah, the next bike night is obviously the first Thursday in May, the June bike night.
Speaker C:We have got the Ducati Roadshow here, which people can ride a number of the bikes and then in July we've got a big night for us.
Speaker C:We've got the Cal Fogerty launch in his new British superbike team here.
Speaker A:So that's being launched here.
Speaker C:Well, that's part of the launch campaign is here in July for the bike night in July.
Speaker C:There'll be more details on our Facebook page as we go on.
Speaker C:And yeah, we've got the motorsport show that we're doing in July for the car night which we're hoping to have some really, you know, fantastic cars at that event this year.
Speaker C:So all looking really well.
Speaker C:Really well.
Speaker A:We'll wish you all the best because I'm going to have a word with the man himself, George from Hammer Timed and then eventually we'll find out how it all went.
Speaker A:But until then, then, John Wright bridge our steerings.
Speaker A:Thank you very much.
Speaker C:Thank you, Mark.
Speaker C:Bye bye.
Speaker C:Now.
Speaker A:George Lewis of hammertime.com the auctioneer and auctioneer company.
Speaker A:George, this is a first for you, isn't it, here at Bridge House?
Speaker D:Yeah, classic cars at Bridge House is definitely a first for us, but we had plenty of interest yesterday and loads of interest today.
Speaker D:So, yeah, all hopeful for a good sale tomorrow.
Speaker A:This is preview day.
Speaker A:I mean how many lots have you.
Speaker D:So we're just under 50 at the moment.
Speaker D:So we've got all sorts ranging from fancy sports cars to old classics and a few modern type vehicles as well.
Speaker D:But yeah, just under 50 lots currently.
Speaker A:Now having a look around, as you said, there's a cross section.
Speaker A:I mean we have a Mark 2 Ford Escort that has definitely had a hard life looking at it.
Speaker A:I mean can you gauge the interest in things like that before the auction starts?
Speaker B:The.
Speaker D:The interest in that yesterday.
Speaker D:The guy pulled in with it on the trailer yesterday afternoon and it certainly certainly pulled a crowded.
Speaker D:That vehicle there was all these shiny prestige cars and then he turned in with that.
Speaker D:That vehicle there, which is.
Speaker D:How would you say, seen better days.
Speaker D:And yeah, certainly drew an interest.
Speaker D:But we've got the logbook for it.
Speaker D:I believe the serial number obviously matches the chassis number so hopefully it'd be a valuable asset to somebody.
Speaker A:I mean that's the one thing, chassis number, all the logbooks and everything else for a Mark 2 escort that has been a rally car immediately places a value on them, doesn't it?
Speaker D:Yeah, no, I'm led to believe it does.
Speaker D:It's.
Speaker D:Yeah, it's certainly something that makes it more desirable if the paperwork's with the actual lot itself.
Speaker A:I mean, how are you looking at this event since in many ways this is your first?
Speaker A:Have you had to gen up on all this?
Speaker D:I've had to improve my knowledge a little bit on cars because obviously our background is mainly agricultural and construction equipment, but we're, it's a good learning curve for us and.
Speaker D:No, we're, we're enjoying every minute of it up to date and you're a.
Speaker A:Local lad, aren't you?
Speaker D:Yeah, no, so I've lived in rare for many years.
Speaker D:My parents live in Ray.
Speaker D:So yeah, local.
Speaker D:Known to quite a few people.
Speaker D:Maybe good, maybe bad, but I'm known.
Speaker A:And I mean to add this to the Bridge House Tea Rooms portfolio with events, I mean it's quite, it's quite impressive, isn't it?
Speaker D:Oh, it's a fantastic opportunity to be able to come here and work with John and put on an auction like this.
Speaker D:So, yeah, no, we're grateful for his support and yeah, hopefully we can make it the first of many.
Speaker A:Right, thanks very much, George.
Speaker A:We shall talk later after the auction because we'll find out it all went.
Speaker A:But until then, George, thanks very much.
Speaker D:Thank you.
Speaker A:Preview day here and I'm with Sarah Wozecker.
Speaker A:And you're looking at a Mark 2 for Granada?
Speaker E:That's correct.
Speaker A:Why not?
Speaker A:There's anything wrong with them.
Speaker A:I mean these cars are seriously gaining in popularity and value.
Speaker E:That's right.
Speaker E:Well, my father in law had quite a few and my husband's had quite a few cars in the past, these and I said if he gets my house all finished and decorated, you can buy a classic car.
Speaker A:The thing about these Ford Granadas is they're now as valuable as like the Jaguar XJ6s.
Speaker A:They are overtaking them in value and overtaking them in popularity and not being funny ultimately back in the day they were like a manager's car or a successful rep's car.
Speaker A:I mean their reputation and their Personas completely changed.
Speaker E:Oh, it has that, yes.
Speaker E:They're a big car but look at it looking good for its age.
Speaker E:How old is it?
Speaker E:43 year old is it?
Speaker A:You know, that's the frightening thing, isn't it?
Speaker A:Like me, you'll remember them being an everyday car out there and now you think, good God, look how old they all are.
Speaker E:I feel old myself now.
Speaker A:But I mean quite a lot of them have survived, aren't they?
Speaker E:They're.
Speaker E:How could the solid car.
Speaker E:Yeah, that's what it is.
Speaker E:I mean, looking at it, I know it needs some tlc, but don't we all need it when we get older?
Speaker A:Yes.
Speaker E:So we'll have to wait and see what happens tomorrow at the auction.
Speaker A:Not exactly.
Speaker A:How much?
Speaker A:Have you set yourself a limit on how much you'll spend on it?
Speaker E:I have.
Speaker E:Well, my husband hasn't yet, so we'll see what happens tomorrow.
Speaker A:So you might have to hold his right hand down.
Speaker E:That's right.
Speaker E:I mean, he's already got four cars.
Speaker A:So four odds he's one more than me.
Speaker A:I have three.
Speaker E:So you don't know, dear.
Speaker E:Till tomorrow, the auction.
Speaker E:Who else is interested in the car?
Speaker A:And there's also auction fever, isn't there?
Speaker A:You say, well, I'll spend no more than 6,000 and when you hit 11,000, you think I've passed my limit.
Speaker E:Yeah.
Speaker E:And as Joel said to me, he's been to different auctions, but this is on our doorstep.
Speaker E:So I can save a bit of money coming here, then going further afield to buy a classic car.
Speaker A:So it won't cost as much to have it delivered when you've bought it?
Speaker E:No, just down the road and be great.
Speaker E:If this happens every month here, why do we have to go anywhere else?
Speaker E:We all can come here.
Speaker A:Well, I think they're planning it to be twice a year.
Speaker E:Twice a year, that's good, isn't it?
Speaker E:And you've got the cafe here.
Speaker E:You can go and have a drink and fantastic garden centre as well.
Speaker E:There's a lot to do here.
Speaker A:Yeah, yeah.
Speaker A:So all the best.
Speaker A:I, I, I hope it all comes to fruition and that your husband doesn't spend too much.
Speaker E:Well, wait to see what happens tomorrow.
Speaker A:Thanks very much, Sarah.
Speaker A:Enjoy.
Speaker A:Enjoy the rest of the day on the auction tomorrow.
Speaker E:Thank you very much.
Speaker A:Here with Tony at Bridge House for the auctions.
Speaker F:Yes.
Speaker A:What are you looking at?
Speaker F:Fords mainly.
Speaker A:Forwards.
Speaker A:You're a Ford man.
Speaker F:Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker A:Can you be tempted with the Mark 2 rally car outside?
Speaker A:I'm going looking at now, that's what you're looking at.
Speaker F:I am, yes.
Speaker A:The beauty of that is, of course it's got its log books, everything matches.
Speaker F:Okay, very good.
Speaker A:So if you buy it, will you rally it?
Speaker F:No, no, I'm too old for rallying.
Speaker F:Yeah, afraid so.
Speaker A:So what would you do with it?
Speaker A:Just restore it.
Speaker F:Just put it with me other ones.
Speaker A:Would you leave it as it is?
Speaker F:Possibly.
Speaker F:Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker A:Because it doesn't drive about at the moment, does it?
Speaker F:No, no, it won't.
Speaker A:That won't put you off?
Speaker F:Not really, no.
Speaker F:No.
Speaker A:So just out of interest, what all.
Speaker F:The forges have you got an orion gear escort xr3 and we just sold a Cosworth.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker F:And I've got a Ford pickup as well.
Speaker F:All right, that's unusual.
Speaker A:Right, so why have you got rid of one?
Speaker F:My son's idea, not mine really.
Speaker F:I just buy him and he looks at them.
Speaker F:Yeah, that's, you know, that's about it really.
Speaker G:Yeah.
Speaker A:So have you set yourself a limit on what you'll spend on that Escort?
Speaker F:Not really.
Speaker A:So it could be auction fever?
Speaker F:T.
Speaker F:It could be.
Speaker F:You never know.
Speaker F:Just watch this space.
Speaker A:There's at least one thing.
Speaker A:You will need a trailer to take it away, won't you?
Speaker F:Yeah, I've got a trailer, don't worry.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:So has it got far to travel?
Speaker F:About 60 mile.
Speaker F:All right, yeah, not too bad.
Speaker A:So are you going to come back tomorrow to do it live?
Speaker F:Yeah, yeah, absolutely, yeah, yeah.
Speaker A: Rs: Speaker F:Yeah.
Speaker A:Could you be going on with two?
Speaker F:I don't know about that.
Speaker A:Why?
Speaker A:It's not looking impressed at this suggestion.
Speaker F:No, this is not.
Speaker A:Yes, yes, a shed load of motorbikes.
Speaker A:All right, so we're running out of room.
Speaker A:Do you know, I've always found that people who sell cars, cuz they've run out of room very quickly, fill it up and need more room.
Speaker A:Of course, yeah.
Speaker A:That's a norm, isn't it?
Speaker F:Yeah, I'd fill it, yeah, yeah, absolutely.
Speaker F:But I've not.
Speaker A:Tony, thanks very much indeed.
Speaker F:More than welcome, Sir.
Speaker A:Stephen, for the preview day of the Bridge House Auctions.
Speaker A:What brings you here?
Speaker A:Is that an obvious question?
Speaker G:Well, being a local, hearing of it on social media, being into me cars, I thought I'd come down and see what's on offer and there's a good array of cars on.
Speaker G:I'll definitely be here tomorrow.
Speaker G:I've picked up a leaflet, I'll be having a bid.
Speaker G:This Honda Jazz has taken my interest, especially with the K20 engine conversion.
Speaker G:Quite a bit of an animal because.
Speaker A:I mean, they're not known for being the most important things on.
Speaker A:Tired of the Jazz is already.
Speaker G:They're not.
Speaker G:Unless you put a K20 Honda engine in one of them with the brake set up and the gearbox it has.
Speaker G:It's quite a spectacular thing.
Speaker A:So it's a real cue car, is this, isn't it?
Speaker A:They'll all expect you to be sat there in your twin set and pearls behind the wheel at this.
Speaker G:Well, exactly.
Speaker G:And that's what I get with my RS6 just there as well.
Speaker G: k over until you floor it and: Speaker G:I imagine the Jazz will be not quite as quick, but similar sort of effect.
Speaker A:So besides this Honda Jazz, is there anything else that's taken your eye?
Speaker G:Yes, the Bedford.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker G:The pickup truck, pick up Bedford and the old, believe it or not, the old Astras.
Speaker G:Yeah, yeah, the old Astras and the Proton rally car.
Speaker A:X.
Speaker A:Just saying they were very popular, like 12 car and local rally cars in the time, weren't they?
Speaker G:They were, yeah.
Speaker G:Well, the Proton there was.
Speaker G:It used to belong to a friend of mine, Stephen Holmes from the Ribble Valley area and it is a well kitted out car, so we'll see what it does.
Speaker G:Oh, and the Evo in there.
Speaker G:I'm looking at the Evo as well.
Speaker A:So your right hand could be up and down quite a lot tomorrow.
Speaker G:It could be, yeah.
Speaker G:A hell of a lot.
Speaker G:Yeah.
Speaker A:Do you think you might suffer from bidding fever?
Speaker G:No, no, I'm not new to this.
Speaker G:I think I'll be able to control myself.
Speaker A:So you've set yourself a limit on what?
Speaker A:Each one.
Speaker A:What you're prepared to pay for each one?
Speaker G:Pretty much, yeah.
Speaker G:Yeah, I have.
Speaker G:I have figures in my head, if they supersede them, I won't be, I won't be putting onto them.
Speaker A:Yeah, because that's one of the things, adoptions into people.
Speaker A:I've got a 5,000 limit and as they creep up to 11,000, they realize they've just passed it.
Speaker G:Yeah, people get carried away.
Speaker G:The excitement, the adrenaline of it, the fast rush pace.
Speaker G:People do get carried away and they end up spending more than they want to and that's a big mistake to make when you come to an auction.
Speaker A:I think the other thing is like this Honda Jazz.
Speaker A:This is relatively unique, but a lot of cars out there, standard.
Speaker A:If you don't get that one, there's another one somewhere else.
Speaker G:Oh, of course, absolutely.
Speaker G:I've come across loads of these jazzers with the K20 conversion, some with big turbos, some with 800 brake horsepower.
Speaker G:They are out there.
Speaker G:I come across some of the four wheel drive conversion.
Speaker G:It was insane and I went for big money.
Speaker G:So it'll be interesting to see if people who come tomorrow know what this is and whether they, they run the bids up or it goes quite, quite low.
Speaker A:So you'll Be hoping people don't know what it is.
Speaker C:That's.
Speaker G:That's me plan.
Speaker G:Yeah, that's me plan.
Speaker G:People won't.
Speaker G:They'll just think it's an old beat up Ponder Jazz and there's nothing special about it.
Speaker G:But we'll see.
Speaker A:Owned by four old ladies.
Speaker G:Exactly, yeah, yeah.
Speaker G:Never will span in its life.
Speaker A:But no, thanks very much indeed for taking the time to chat.
Speaker G:Thank you very much.
Speaker A:I'm with Alicia here at Bridge House now whilst John, her partner, is out there fronting it all and doing the gripping and grinning and the smiling.
Speaker A:You're like the powerhouse behind all this, aren't you?
Speaker H:Oh, of course, yes.
Speaker A:Are you looking forward to it?
Speaker H:Yes, really looking forward to it.
Speaker H:First time doing this, so we'll see how it goes.
Speaker A:Is it with trepidation?
Speaker H:A little, yes.
Speaker H:Hopefully it'll be a good turnout.
Speaker H:Got some really good cars in the auction and bikes.
Speaker H:So hopefully.
Speaker A:And the.
Speaker A:The paddock will be open, won't it?
Speaker H:It certainly will in the morning.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker H:We've got barbecue on, the bar will be opened so hopefully everyone will come along and enjoy.
Speaker A:Andy, have you any idea of how many people likely to come?
Speaker H:We don't know.
Speaker H:It's.
Speaker H:That's the unknown.
Speaker H:So.
Speaker H:Which is quite exciting.
Speaker H:Yeah.
Speaker A:So have you bought any extra tea cakes?
Speaker H:Oh, plenty.
Speaker H:We've got.
Speaker H:We're well stocked with everything so we won't run out.
Speaker A:And your new menu, which of course is.
Speaker A:I've just had the black pudding.
Speaker A:That was excellent.
Speaker H:Good, good.
Speaker H:That's a new feature on the menu.
Speaker H:Yeah.
Speaker A:So will you be up front like John, or keeping yourself in the background with your frying pan?
Speaker H:Well, I will be cooking away in the marquee.
Speaker H:Yes.
Speaker H:Yep.
Speaker A:So.
Speaker A:And this is going to be the first of a few, is it not?
Speaker H:Well, hopefully, yes.
Speaker H:You have to watch this space.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker H:Yeah.
Speaker A:I noticed John's looking a bit harassed.
Speaker A:It's unusual for John to look around.
Speaker H:No, I think he's a bit on edge.
Speaker H:Yes.
Speaker A:He's smiling but it's not the usual big beaming one, is this tomorrow evening?
Speaker H:He will be.
Speaker A:He'll be relaxed when he's over with.
Speaker H:A pint in his hand.
Speaker H:Yeah.
Speaker A:Alicia, thanks very much indeed.
Speaker H:Thank you, Mark.
Speaker B:Right, with the Bridge House Tea Room's first car auction under their belt, it's time to have a last chat with John Wright and George Lewis.
Speaker B:Gentlemen, good morning.
Speaker C:Good morning, Matt.
Speaker G:Good morning.
Speaker B:How did it go yesterday?
Speaker C:Yeah, we were.
Speaker I:We're very pleased with the results.
Speaker I:At the end of the day, we had a Good turnout of people.
Speaker I:The weather was on the side.
Speaker C:Yeah.
Speaker I:And it certainly.
Speaker I:We had a fantastic event and hopefully something we can build on for the future.
Speaker B:Did everything sell?
Speaker I:No, we didn't quite get all the lots sold, but we did get a good percentage of them sold.
Speaker I:We managed to negotiate some further deals after the, after the auction, have finished with ones that didn't quite get to get there in the actual sale and we're still ongoing with various, various lots at the moment.
Speaker I:So say, I'd like to think in another, another two or three days we'll have even more sold, so.
Speaker I:But no, we were happy with the results.
Speaker B:Did the Mark 2 Escort rally car, that one that looked a bit sad, did that go?
Speaker C:Not at the moment, Mike.
Speaker C:No.
Speaker C:There's quite a lot of it, quite a lot of interest around it and that's one of the deals that we're hoping that we might still be able to.
Speaker C:To cause.
Speaker C:It's just, it's just one of those things.
Speaker C:There was a lot of interest around it, as you can imagine.
Speaker B:And what was the.
Speaker B:Which.
Speaker B:Which were the coins that generated the greatest interest and maybe exceeded their reserve?
Speaker C:Well, the one of interest in the, probably the star of a show was the Austin A30.
Speaker C:The bidding was very strong on that, both online and in the, in the, in the marquee.
Speaker C:So that was, that was a, a nice lot to watch.
Speaker C:Score.
Speaker B:And what about, say, the Alfa Romeo and the Vauxhall Victor?
Speaker C:Yeah, well, the Vauxhall Victor went.
Speaker C:That was a, that was a good, good sell.
Speaker C:And the, the Alpha with two or three people really interested in it, probably just, just a touch out of one or two people's reach.
Speaker C:A bit more of a specialist car, like you, like you said.
Speaker C:And you just never know.
Speaker C:You never know.
Speaker C:We're still working on that one.
Speaker B:But it's given you the inspiration to carry on for the second option later this year.
Speaker C:Oh, absolutely, Mark.
Speaker C:Yeah, we had about 250 people here yesterday and it was a real buzz and we had the marquee, obviously the paddock marquee open, doing the refreshments and teas and people were using the tea room for lunch and there was a real buzz, A real buzz.
Speaker C:And you know yourself when there's a nice atmosphere.
Speaker C:It was, it was, it was nice.
Speaker C:It was, it was enjoyable.
Speaker C:Very enjoyable.
Speaker B:Right.
Speaker B:Anyway, John, George, thanks very much indeed for doing a, a roundup on the event and, uh, all the best for, uh, next year's event and the rest of the Bridge House Tea Room.
Speaker B:The major car events over the coming year.
Speaker C:Well, thank you very much, Mark, and thanks for speaking to us.
Speaker C:And we've posted the results on our pages so people can see how we did yesterday as well.
Speaker B:That's great, gentleman.
Speaker B:Thanks very much indeed.
Speaker C:Thanks, Mark.
Speaker B:Bye.
